Acts as an independent Cloud Architect and Design Lead in support of reference architecture designs to be consumed for global deployments of Azure solutions 

• Individual Contributor that authors Architecture and Design standards (High Level and Low level) and performs configuration and implementation of the Architecture Design 

• Deploy the Reference Architecture via Automation and fine-tune on an on-going basis

• Individual Contributor role on a project with the ability to guide customer and cross-functional internal/partner teams for cloud architecture, design and project planning

• 2+ years of proven industry experience working with Azure solutions at the Architecture, Design, Configuration and Implementation level 

• Ability to support multiple projects at any given time

• Provide management updates and reports on project responsibilities, progress, dependencies, risks and escalations 

• Ability to work independently and in the team environments as well as with discipline in a remote/home working environment.

• Azure experience at solution and implementation level spanning multiple Azure products 

• Azure MCSA certification and experience with the following: Azure Migrate and DB Migration Services, Azure Site Recovery, Azure Security Center and the portfolio of Azure Security Services

• Working experience with Azure VMs, AKS, Service Fabric, Cosmos DB, Container Registry, Azure Active Directory, as well as other Azure services

• Experience configuring and integrating third-party non-Azure products with Azure products and services

• Experience with cloud automation, cloud design patterns and microservices

• Strong experience in Linux 

• Core data networking and network management • Security architecture and design – Azure Security best practices 

• Working experience with virtualization technologies - VMWare / Open Stack 

  • Working experience with DevOps frameworks such as Ansible / Puppet Labs / Chef 

• Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker, deployment experience a plus

• Understanding of API integration concepts to build cloud services • Programming – HTML, CSS, Java Scripts, Python, REST API, Postman 

• Proficient in Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) 

• Ability to create architecture, design, and project progress artifacts for the migration solution – create Power Point High Level Architecture and Vision collateral • Document with technical Visio drawings, configuration details and test plans, provide detailed descriptions where needed to ensure communication effectiveness 

Education

• B.S. or M.S in one or more of the following areas - Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry experience
